How this association handles your personal information, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who holds your information
LNG Residents & Owners Welfare Association, Reg No: 472 of 2021, Kapu Jaggarajupeta, Duvvada, Visakhapatnam, AP, India, 530049. The association is the data fiduciary — it decides what is collected and why. This portal and its apps are operated by the association for its own members.
What we hold, and why
| Your name, house number, phone and email | To identify your household, raise receipts, and contact you about dues, notices and emergencies. |

| Vehicles — number, make, model, photo | To identify residents' vehicles at the gate. |
| Domestic help you register | So the guard can verify them at the gate. |
| Visitors at the gate — name, phone, photograph, vehicle, time in and out | To keep a security record of who entered the colony and for which house. |
| Complaints you raise, and any photographs attached | To act on them and track them to closure. |
| Sign-in records — phone number, time, device and IP address | To let you in, and to detect misuse of an account. |
| Employee records — name, address, date of birth, photograph, Aadhaar copy | Employment records for staff the association pays. Held only for employees, never for residents. |
Who can see it
Residents see only their own household. Committee members and administrators see what their role requires — accounts, complaints, or the gate register. Security guards see the house list and the gate register, and nothing about your payments. Every administrative change is recorded in an activity log.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Advertisements shown in the app are chosen by the association, not by any advertising network, and no personal information is sent to advertisers.
How long we keep it

Where a retention period is stated above and is not yet enforced automatically, deletion is carried out on request — see below.
Where it is stored
On servers operated by Railway, and images on Google Cloud Storage. Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and data is encrypted at rest by both providers. These servers are outside India. If you would prefer your information were held only within India, tell the committee — that is a decision for the association and we will record your objection.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask the association to:
- tell you what it holds about you, and who it has been shared with;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- erase information that is no longer needed — except financial records, which we must keep;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to;
- complain, first to us and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
Most corrections you can make yourself in the app. For anything else, write to the committee and we will reply within 30 days.
If something goes wrong
If personal information is exposed, the association will tell the affected residents and the Data Protection Board as required, without waiting to be asked.
